March Madness is looming, but the 2020 football contest season is on a lot of people’s minds with Circa Sports opening registration for its two contests at 8 a.m. PT on Friday, March 6, at the downtown Golden Gate & D hotel-casinos. For those who don’t know, Circa Sports had added a Circa Survivor contest ($1,000 entry fee, limit 5 per person, can use each NFL just once, $1 million guaranteed minimum to champion, Thanksgiving games counts as own week, $1 million bonus for champ going 18-0) to the second running of the Circa Sports Million ($1,000 entry fee, guaranteed $3 million prize pool with $1 million to champion, pays Top 50, $250,000 prizes each “Quarter” with prizes split 150K/75K/25K).

“Circa Sports on Thursday gave the 11th-ranked Vols the eighth-best odds to win the College World Series, at +2000. Florida (+750) topped the list, ahead of Vanderbilt (+1100), UCLA (+1200), Texas Tech (+1300), Louisville (+1600), Ole Miss (+1600) and Miami (+2000).

“Circa Sports has begun taking entries for its two football handicapping contests for next season. The $1,000 entry Circa Sports Million II will feature $3 million in guaranteed prize money, up from $1.5 million in its debut season, and the downtown sportsbook has added a second $1,000 entry contest called the Circa Survivor, with a guaranteed $1 million prize. Sign-ups can be made at the Golden Gate or the D Las Vegas. People living outside Nevada can enter the contests and have their weekly selections made through a proxy.

LAFC tops the league at +350 (risk $100 to earn a profit of $350 that LAFC will win the league title). The Galaxy are sixth on the board at +1500, behind Atlanta +900, New York City FC +900, Seattle +1000 and Toronto +1200.
