Las Vegas NYE Tips & Tricks

If you haven’t been to Downtown Las Vegas New Year’s Eve parties before, prepare yourself for the wild and exciting craziness you’re about to experience with these survival tips:

  1. If you plan to celebrate the New Year on Fremont Street, get there early as downtown traffic can become horrific.
  2. If you drive, park your car in the hotel garage nearest to where you’ll be partying. Most Strip Valet and Self-Park garages are expected to be full by 5:00 pm. Don’t forget to take a photo of the garage and floor where you parked for good measure, and be sure to be mindful of any alcohol consumption if you plan on driving home.
  3. Plan ahead for the late night commute home.
  4. Dress in warm layers you can take off if need be. Yes, Las Vegas is a desert and it still gets very cold.
  5. There ARE laws when you’re drinking Claws in Vegas on New Year’s Eve, so make sure to read up on the Las Vegas New Years Eve ordinances.
  6. Fireworks will erupt from Stratosphere Tower, Treasure Island (TI), Venetian, Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, ARIA, and MGM Grand, so make sure you know where you’re going to watch them ahead of time.
  7. Drink and party responsibly! Stay hydrated, be mindful of your surroundings, and never drink and drive.
