Are you ready to rock out and sing along to some of the most iconic American rock songs this summer? Lynyrd Skynyrd is coming to the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on August 16th for their Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour. The farewell tour has been taking the band across the country and around the globe for one last unforgettable tour of classic American Rock-and-Roll. Joining the stage on this Lynyrd Skynyrd tour are Bad Company and Lainey Wilson.
Formed in 1964, Lynyrd Skynyrd finally settled on their official name in 1969 and the band has since captured the hearts of many with their true Southern rock style. It’s almost impossible to go to a show without hearing somebody request “Free Bird”, and there is a special place in everyone’s hearts for “Sweet Home Alabama”. Unfortunately, a tragic plane crash in 1977 killing lead vocalist Ronnie Van Zant and two other band members put an end to the band. Ten years later, the band reformed with Ronnie’s brother on vocals and has been touring since with their farewell tour and a final studio album in progress.
In 2004, the band was recognized in Rolling Stone’s “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” list and in 2006 Lynyrd Skynyrd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The band’s profound impact on the music community has lead to numerous tributes and a biopic, Street Survivors, to honor their influence.
With three 2x Platinum records, it’s easy to see the band is loved by both the music community and fans, so be sure to take up this opportunity to see Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert and witness music history!
The Lynyrd Skynyrd concert promptly begins at 7:00 PM with doors opening at 6:00 PM at T-Mobile Arena
