Metal lovers across the world have jammed out with Tool since their debut in the early 1990’s. Their journey to fame started in the City of Angels with their angsty, alternative hits that fit in perfectly with the post-Nirvana era. As the band evolved, so did their music. Their earlier albums can be described as thrasher, underground metal with post-punk influences. They eventually moved out of this category by creating music that broke the confines of traditional song structures and lengths. If you listen to Tool’s newer albums like Lateralus and 10,000 Days, you’ll rock out to long, epic songs that sometimes last over 10 minutes.
With only five albums released over the past few decades, they have managed to win three Grammy Awards and tour across the world. After a 13-year hiatus, Tool popped back into the music scene in 2019 with their fifth album, Fear Inoculum. Fans were nothing but wildly impressed with the band’s newest songs, making them hit the top of the charts – beating out artists like Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey.
If you want to experience the metal magic live and in person, mark your calendars for Friday, January 17th because Tool is performing their Tool tour at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The one-man metal band, Author and Punisher, will also be rocking out, making this Tool concert one you can’t miss. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8pm. Tickets start at $55, so grab yours before they sell out!
